I have been saying this for years, and even to my clients. Yes they ARE helpful but not to you or I. Unless you are running a Marathon (use it during my marathons along with power gels) or doing an intense work out session, you are just filling your body with sugar. I make the comparison to Diet pills and “magic” fixes for the fitness industry. They use smart sales pitches and athletes who have the ideal body. It is called Marketing. When I go to a hockey arena and see the amount of money these parents spend on their kids from the vending machines when a water fountain is near, it amazes me. Not only are they feeding their kids sugar, they are teaching them to spend $3+ on a small bottle of juice and thus eliminated the value of money.
